Bushmills Primary School Visit
“I really enjoyed my time but my fav bit was the jail and make your character bit. 100000(…)00 stars!” and “we had so much fun learning about Bushmills and it was really fun playing games”.
Bushmills Primary School Visit
As part of our school outreach programme, we were delighted to welcome the P4/P5 class from Bushmills Primary School to the Courthouse.
The children took part in a fun and engaging curriculum-linked session where they learned about the history of Bushmills and the Courthouse. Through storytelling, discussion, and hands-on activities, they explored local heritage and discovered how life in the area has changed over time.
As part of their visit, pupils created their own Thaumatropes, an early optical toy that demonstrated how images can appear to move. The activity provided a creative way to connect history, art, and learning, and was enjoyed by all.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity to introduce young people to their local heritage while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning.
