Saturday 11 April | 2pm – 4pm | The Courthouse
Join Mark Bonello, one of The Courthouse’s resident creatives, for an inspiring and liberating afternoon of painting as part of his acclaimed Brave Art series.
Designed for both complete beginners and those ready to move beyond traditional realism, Brave Art is about reconnecting with your creativity and painting with confidence, freedom and expression. Inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of the Causeway Coast, this workshop explores expressive mark-making, bold shapes and intuitive techniques that help you loosen your brushwork while maintaining structure.
Throughout the session, you’ll learn how to simplify complex scenes into strong visual forms, trust your instincts, and develop your own distinctive artistic voice. This is not about perfection — it’s about rediscovering the joy of painting, quieting self-doubt and embracing creativity with courage.
Mark’s supportive and encouraging teaching style creates a welcoming space where everyone can explore, experiment and grow at their own pace.
All materials are provided and no prior experience is necessary — just a willingness to be brave.
Step away from the everyday, immerse yourself in colour and creativity, and leave with a renewed sense of confidence, joy and… freeeeeeedom.
It’s time to be brave.
