Join us on Saturday 14th June for a special hands-on workshop with Dr. HyoJin Koh, as she shares the traditional art of making authentic Korean kimchi — fresh, seasonal, and from scratch.
Dr. Koh was born and raised in Jeolla Province, South Korea’s cultural and culinary heartland. Known for its bold flavours and deeply rooted food heritage, this region inspires the two kimchi styles she will teach during the workshop: a vibrant, plant-based version, and a more traditional, family-passed ‘Jeolla-style’ recipe. Both are made using easily sourced local produce and, in true Korean tradition, some hand-foraged wild greens.
You’ll begin with a glass of Dr. Koh’s homemade, non-alcoholic strawberry mead before watching a live demonstration of the two kimchi sauces. Then, roll up your sleeves for a guided, hands-on session where you'll create your own batch to take home. The afternoon ends with a tasting — enjoy your kimchi alongside a small selection of traditional Korean dishes prepared by Dr. Koh.
This workshop is open to all levels, from complete beginners to confident cooks.
